Raise one assistant, not ten

4분 분량작성: The Octuo team

You have just installed your fifth AI tool, and you are about to explain to it, from zero, how you like your reports laid out and what your project is about. Everyone is raising an agent now, and with ten tools you raise ten, each one learning you separately. With Octuo you raise one assistant instead: it recalls what you have told it, and when it hands a job to another tool it carries the context that job needs.

What Octuo does at that moment

  • You give Octuo a goal. It delegates the work to supported tools and agents, carries the context they need and brings the results back. We wrote up what an agent orchestrator is, and whether you need one.
  • What you have told Octuo anywhere in your account is something it can recall, so a new tool does not mean introducing yourself again. It draws on that memory where a task calls for it, not on every item in every job.
  • When you add another supported tool, such as Codex or Claude Code, Octuo can help set up the connection and brief the tool for you. You provide the sign-in and any approval that must be yours.
  • Octuo follows the run and reports back. Progress is there when you want to look, and decisions that need you come to Attention.
  • The work goes through your own authorized accounts, within the access you grant.

To see what tools produce from one brief, here is a real run, raw outputs included: one 80-word brief handed to Codex and Claude Code on the same open-source repository, outputs published, spot-checked, no tool ranked.

Three examples

These are illustrative situations, not customer stories.

A report format that reaches the job

Someone told Octuo once that they want every summary short, with the decisions first. Later they ask for a review of a small project and Octuo hands it to Codex. The brief it writes includes that format, so the review comes back laid out the way they like it. Their own part was signing in to their Codex account the first time.

Project background that arrives with the run

A freelancer who maintains a client's site has described the project to Octuo before: the naming, which pages are finished, what has been decided so far. They ask for one page to be fixed, and Octuo hands the job to Claude Code with the background that fix needs. Nothing gets pasted into a fresh chat, and a decision that needs them lands in Attention.

The next tool, without starting over

Someone who already uses Claude Code decides to add Codex. Within the access they grant, they ask Octuo to help set it up, and they sign in to their own Codex account themselves. Octuo writes the brief for the first task, so the new tool starts with the context that task needs instead of a blank page.

What it does not do

Octuo does not know everything about you: it recalls what you have told it and gives each tool the context that job needs, not your whole history. It does not turn your tools into one shared memory, because each tool keeps its own history and Octuo does not import it. It also does not hide which tool did what, and we do not claim that every tool you own is already connected.

FAQ

Does one assistant mean one memory for all my tools? No. Each tool keeps its own session history, and Octuo does not import it. What Octuo does is recall what you have told it in your account and carry the context a task needs when it hands that task over.

Do I still need an account with each tool? Yes. Octuo coordinates work through your own authorized accounts for tools such as Codex and Claude Code, under each service's terms, and those services bill you separately from Octuo. For several accounts, see a practical setup.

What do I still do myself? You step in for your own sign-ins, payments and sensitive approvals that must be yours. Octuo handles the work around them: preparing the brief, following the run and bringing the result back. Anything that needs your decision lands in Attention.
