Getting Started
Learn how to use WiseBar in minutes
1. Install the Extension
Click the 'Add to Chrome' button on this page or visit the Chrome Web Store. The extension will install in seconds.
2. Pin WiseBar
Click the puzzle icon in your Chrome toolbar and pin WiseBar for easy access.
3. Start Highlighting
Visit any webpage, select text, and click the highlight button that appears. Your highlights are automatically saved.
4. Explore Features
Click the WiseBar icon to open the sidebar. Try AI summaries, create notes, or browse your library.

Is WiseBar free?
Yes! WiseBar offers a generous free tier that includes all core features: unlimited highlights, basic notes, and 5 AI requests per day. Premium features like unlimited AI, spaced repetition, and cross-device sync require a Pro subscription.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. All your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We're GDPR compliant and never sell your data. You have complete control and can export or delete your data anytime.
Does it work offline?
Basic features like highlighting and notes work offline. AI features require an internet connection. Your data syncs automatically when you're back online.
Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export all your highlights and notes to JSON or Markdown format. Pro users can also export directly to Notion or Obsidian.
What languages are supported?
WiseBar currently supports English and Simplified Chinese. More languages are coming soon.
Is there a mobile version?
Currently WiseBar is available for desktop Chrome only. Mobile versions are in development.
Does it work on all websites?
WiseBar works on 99% of websites. Some sites with heavy security restrictions may limit functionality.
What AI models does WiseBar use?
WiseBar uses advanced language models for summaries and explanations. We don't use your data to train AI models.
