Octuo Beta Notice

Octuo Beta Notice

Octuo is a Public Beta. The 10 statements below describe what that means for you in plain language. Please read them before you sign up — they are the most important things you need to know to use Octuo safely. We made the language deliberately direct.

1. This is a Public Beta release.

Features may change, fail, or be removed without notice. Backwards compatibility is not guaranteed. We may release breaking changes more quickly than a stable product would.

2. AI-generated content is not always correct.

Outputs may be inaccurate, biased, fabricated, or harmful. Verify before relying on anything Octuo tells you. Do not use Octuo for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent professional verification.

3. Octuo may take actions on your behalf.

When you grant agent capabilities (file access, vault access, multi-device control), the system may execute those actions autonomously. Review what you authorize. We are not liable for the outcomes of authorized autonomous actions.

4. Vault is beta-grade security.

While we apply envelope encryption and KMS isolation, you should keep critical credentials backed up elsewhere. Do not store credentials in Octuo that you cannot afford to lose.

5. Multi-device control means your local machine takes commands.

When you enable multi-device, your iPhone or iPad can dispatch actions to your Mac via Octuo's backend. Anyone with access to your Octuo account can issue these commands. Use a strong password, and enable 2FA when it becomes available.

6. We may collect telemetry to improve the product.

During beta, we may store and analyze your queries, device events, and error reports. We use this data in aggregate to improve Octuo; we do not sell it to third parties. See the Privacy Policy for the complete list.

7. We may need to access your account to debug serious issues.

With your consent (an in-app banner) or in critical incidents (security or data-loss), we may inspect non-vault data. Vault plaintext is structurally inaccessible to us — only you hold the keys to decrypt it.

8. Beta users may lose data.

While we run automated backups, we recommend exporting your important data periodically. The export feature is built into Account Settings.

9. Pricing during beta may change.

We will give 30-day notice before any price increase that affects existing subscribers. Credit pack prices may change without notice for new purchases; already-purchased credits keep their NTU value.

10. You can leave anytime.

Account deletion is self-serve in Account Settings. Data is removed within 30 days. Export your data first if you want it.

By creating an Octuo account you confirm you have read and understood these statements. The full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy supplement this Notice; where they disagree about beta-specific risks, this Notice prevails for the duration of the public beta.

When the beta ends, this Notice will be replaced by a shorter "Service Notes" document; we will email you and post a banner before the change takes effect.
